About the Work

The Zeng-wen River meanders gracefully, nurturing vast ecosystems and human settlements where all beings co-exist. Interwoven throughout the basin are diverse scents, each carrying distinct stories and memories. Through environmental gathering and botanical extraction, these scents are distilled and preserved as tinctures and hydrosols, reshaping residents' memories and imaginations of their surroundings into a collective breath of life.

About the Artist

Holding a Master’s degree in Plant Pathology from National Chung Hsing University, Chen Ke-ting worked on agricultural and horticultural projects in diplomatic partner nations and researched Austronesian traditional ecological knowledge. Currently the director of the Collectors CoSpace, he uses “collecting” to reconnect people, plants, and the land based on ecological observations. By bridging generations to preserve local stories, he develops cross-disciplinary art, food, and local studies courses, rebuilding intimate human-nature interactions to practice sustainable co-existence.
