About the Work

The Court of Nature: Witnessed by All Beings continues the inquiry into the rights of nature initiated by The Parliament of All Beings. Rather than remaining passive observers, visitors are invited to become gravel, rivers, and other living beings within the watershed. Through bodily movement, sound perception, and spatial interaction, they experience the ever-changing dynamics of the natural environment firsthand. By weaving together hydrological engineering, Indigenous knowledge, and soundscape design, the exhibition transforms scientific data, local languages, and sensory experience into a courtroom without predetermined verdicts, encouraging visitors to reconsider the relationship between humans, rivers, and the more-than-human world.

About the Artist

Noel Yang is the Founder and Creative Director of ViVo Creative Design Studio, specializing in soundscape research, cultural fieldwork, visual communication, and interdisciplinary exhibition design.He has been dedicated to exploring sound as a medium for cultural perception and creative practice, transforming local soundscapes into exhibitions, publications, cultural products, educational programs, and international exchange projects. Yang has curated and participated in numerous exhibitions and cultural events, including the Taiwan Design Expo, Taiwan Creative Expo, exhibitions at Osaka Central Public Hall (Japan), and cultural exchange programs in Hong Kong, actively promoting Taiwanese soundscape culture on the international stage.
