作品簡介
小平頭，是許多臺灣男孩共同的童年記憶，象徵成長，也代表告別童年、邁向未知的人生旅程。作品以此意象映照七股頂山聚落的變遷，當校園沉寂、人口外流，熟悉的地景與生活也悄然改變。畫中的男孩並非特定人物，而是土地的化身。他靜靜沉睡於校園，在夢中收藏過往風景，也串連聚落的過去、現在與未來。夢境承載著土地的記憶，並留下對未來的想像。
關於藝術家
蔡濰任現居臺南，創作靈感來自民俗與日常生活。創作主題主要探討民間信仰與人的關係，藉由民俗繪畫的再詮釋，建立自己與土地更親近的連結，讓觀者能夠透過作品重新擁抱自身文化裡遺失的一塊。希望透過作品向現代人傳遞先民對於土地的尊敬，更提醒多元族群互相接納的生活態度。

About the Work
The buzz cut is a shared childhood memory for many Taiwanese boys, symbolizing growth, farewells to youth, and stepping into the unknown. The artwork uses this icon to reflect the changing settlement of Dingshan in Qigu, where quiet schoolyards and outward migration have gently shifted familiar landscapes. The sleeping boy in the painting represents no single person, but embodies the land itself, dreaming in the quiet schoolyard to gather past scenery while bridging the settlement's past, present, and future. About the Artist
Currently based in Tainan, Tsai Wei-jen draws creative inspiration from folk customs and daily life. His practice explores the relationship between folk belief and human experience, reinterpreting traditional folk painting to establish a closer connection with the land and helping viewers reconnect with missing pieces of their own culture. Through his work, he aims to convey ancestral reverence for the land to contemporary audiences while serving as a reminder of mutual acceptance among diverse ethnic groups.
